Seath the Scaleless

The boss Seath The Scaleless is one of the Bosses in Dark Souls. He is found in two locations. The first is within The Dukes Archives. This battle is fixed, thus the player can not win. The second location is deep within the Crystal Cave.

Upon entering the battlefield the player must run to the back and slash at Seaths crystal heart. One swing will shatter it and make the boss killable. If the player tries attacking Seath without killing this first, he will simply regenerate all his health.

Upon breaking the heart, run up to Seath. Long range battles will be hard due to his crystal wave attack. Not only does it hurt, it inflicts curse if you're hit too many times. Seath has three tails, a large one in the middle and two smaller side ones. Pick one of these side tails and stick to it. In this area Seath will miss you 90% of the time. He has a few attacks that may catch the player, but shrugging them off should be no issue.

Important Note: Of the three tails, the center tail is important as it can be cut by repeated attacks to obtain a tail weapon - much like the Bell Gargoyles. If you want the Moonlight Greatsword, be sure to focus on his larger tail early on to get the weapon before moving to the other tails.

After a few seconds Seath will try to back away from the player. It is important to stick to the tail or else the player runs the risk of being hit and turned to crystal. Always follow the tail and stay as close as possible.

Being a dragon, Seath is weak to lightning. Use this on your weapon if possible, or if you have lightning based magic, fire it straight into Seath for heavy damage. It is also possible to cut off his center tail to recieve the Moonlight Greatsword. This is very hard. If the player is near that tail Seath unleashes a heavy ground attack that makes cutting it off very difficult.
